Near Store
Targeting

Guide consumers from sample to shopping staple,
with clear near store mapping

Increase sales through sampling by mapping venues within a short walkable distance of your brand’s stores, providing consumers with clear, step-by-step directions to easily find and purchase your products.

Near-store targeting works by mapping sampling venues near your brand’s stores, providing a powerful strategy to boost product sales and support your business goals. By focusing on underperforming stores, you can drive foot traffic and turn samples into purchases, giving these locations a much-needed uplift.

When launching a new product or supporting a new listing (NPD), this approach ensures consumers can easily transition from sampling to buying, accelerating initial sales momentum. Whilst for products at risk of being de-listed, connecting consumers to nearby retailers can increase sales velocity and demonstrate demand to stockists.

This strategy also enhances voucher redemption rates by providing clear directions to stores where the voucher can be used, ensuring no opportunities are missed. Whether near offices, gyms, universities, or other targeted venues, this method ensures consumers can seamlessly access your product, maximising both sampling impact and conversion rates.

How it works

Select your retailers

Share your list of stockists or physical stores you’d like to support—whether your goal is to boost sales at underperforming locations or drive momentum for a new listing. Using our advanced geo-mapping software, we’ll strategically align your target stores with the most relevant sampling venues in our network, including offices, universities, gyms, and even at-home sampling opportunities.

Map to store

We’ll carefully select sampling Ambassadors who align with your target demographic and are located within a short, walkable, or commutable distance from your chosen retailers, and invite them to opt-in. This ensures that after receiving their sample, consumers have a convenient path to purchase—whether it’s grabbing a quick snack for the office, a post-workout pick-me-up, or a caffeine boost for late-night study sessions

Map to closest store

Clear path to purchase

Once your samples arrive, consumers can access your branded microsite by scanning a QR code on promotional materials, such as leaflets or tent cards, or via a link shared by their Ambassador. On the microsite, they’ll find our innovative store finder, which allows them to either enter their address, use geo-location to identify their nearest retailer, or to use the an interactive map.

They’ll then receive step-by-step directions from their location to one of your stores. Additionally, we can provide interactive maps or seamlessly embed your existing store locator for a fully integrated experience.

In-depth reporting

Following your sampling activation, we’ll deliver a comprehensive report detailing the stores influenced by the campaign. This includes heat maps, interactive tables, and insights into the number of samples distributed and consumers engaged around each location. Additionally, we’ll highlight the store locations where survey respondents demonstrated the highest purchase intent and provide data on the number of users who interacted with the near-store finder.

For deeper insights, our data team can conduct a post-trial sales analysis using your retailer sales data, offering a clear view of the impact our sampling efforts had on the targeted stores.
